Hey dudes and dudettes...actually you're all dudettes...mehI have had a most awesome time in NSW, counting kombis. Byron, where we stayed from Wednesday - Sunday, being today, wasn't all that impressive. Expensive shops and fashionable people *boring*! But oh! The kombis! On the first day I counted 19 diff ones! Oh, and the chicks in Byron are hot stuff too, just in case you wanted to know.
On Saturday we took the drive through most beautiful gorgeous splendid lovely pretty shiny etc forest and countryside to...NIMBIN! On the way we stopped at Minyon Falls in Stunning NIghtcap National Park, the prettiest place I've ever seen in Australia, and the air smelt fresh and cool. Nimbin also smelt different to normal places, but not in the same way as Minyon. Nimbin, like Byron, is very touristy, but in a completely different way. There's something magical left over from the '60s and '70s that lingers in every corner. You can smell it. You can also smell the weed. Walking up the length of the main street, which takes about 2min if you dawdle, you will be offered weed in various forms by at least 10 ppl on either side of the road. Shops sell related paraphenalia, as well as clothes and beauty products made from hemp. There's also an awesome little museum, the walls of which are simply covered with info and colour and random stuff...and kombis. There's tonnes of great art, and plenty of people who could pass for artwork themselves. The food in the famous Rainbow Cafe is yummy as and...I am soooo tofu-ed out after being in Byron and Nimbin. Yay for Nimbin! It was great! Bring on the tofu burgers! and the art! and the kombis!
