Film Australia

Just spent the week at Film Australia - that was pretty awesome. I was cataloging their trophies :-P quite an amusing job. The trophies date back to the fifties and there's some pretty bizarre ones. I met some really interesting people - great insight into the film industry. Keep an eye out for the docos "Operation Babydrop", "Remembering Rain" and "Gone to a Good Home" on the ABC and SBS - they're set to be great (I've seen a rough cut of the latter). Spent some time with the director of "Remembering Rain", Mandy Chang, and her editor, just watching them edit together the last three minutes or so. I also sent a letter to Peter Berner about his "Loaded Brush" doco and sorted AFI entries. Much fun.

Stayed with gay mates during the week, had an awesome time with them. They have quite the household. Three dogs, five cats, a massive parrot, a laurikeet and a heap of fish. Toby the poodle and Moet the cat who sounds like Darth Vader (never got over cat flu as a kitten) were my personal favourites. On Thurs night Moet slept curled around my head like a hat; quite amusing. I'm going to miss them all.
